Extended Absences

An unexcused absence of more than 10 school days will lead to the student being withdrawn on the 10th unexcused day automatically. They are responsible for turning in assignments during this time and will have 5 days upon their return for their make-up their work.  Our teachers will be grading class work/tests/assignments/projects of work submitted until the student’s last day of enrollment.  Teachers are unable to arrange to give tests early under any circumstances.

Please note that missing grades will be calculated as zeros during your child’s absence until they are withdrawn. If your child re-enrolls their previous grade will be used in courses similar to their prior course schedule, we cannot guarantee placement with the same teacher or schedule. 

To re-enroll your student (within 30 days), please upload a current utility bill showing address served to https://fcsapps.forsyth.k12.ga.us/InfoSystems/SISUpload.  Typically documents received before 12pm will be processed by the end of the same school day; after 12pm will be processed by the end of the next school day.  If you do not have access to upload a current utility bill, please visit the school and the school Registrar will do it for you.
